Introducing Digital Referral Cards!

Referring is now easier than ever.

Referrals should be simple, fast, and convenient—for both practices and patients. That’s why we’re excited to introduce Digital Referral Cards, a brand-new feature in Bright Referral designed to make referring “on the go” easier than ever.

What Are Digital Referral Cards?

Digital Referral Cards are the next evolution of referral convenience. Instead of relying only on paper referral pads or generic QR codes, practices can now instantly send personalized, digital referral cards via email (with text coming soon).

When a referral partner, team member, or patient receives a Digital Referral Card, they can:

  • Save it to their phone for easy access anytime

  • Add it to their Apple Wallet (or screenshot for other devices)

  • Use the built-in QR code to connect directly with your practice

That means your practice is just one tap away—right in their pocket.

Why It’s Valuable

  • Frictionless referrals: No lost paperwork, no searching for a website. Just open, scan, and refer.

  • Trackable & professional: Unlike a random QR code with no context, Digital Referral Cards include your practice name and information—creating a branded, trustworthy experience.

  • Always accessible: Once saved to a phone or wallet, the referral card travels wherever your referral sources and patients go.

  • Multi-purpose: Great for practices that don’t use referral pads, for events and sponsorships, or for reaching community members in everyday settings.

How It Works

  1. Select a referral source in Bright Referral

  2. Click “Share Digital Referral Card”

  3. Send it by email (soon, by text too)

  4. The recipient saves it directly to their device or wallet for quick use

From there, they can scan and send referrals without needing to download or set up anything extra.

Ways to Roll It Out

Digital Referral Cards are versatile tools that can be shared across all your networks:

  • Team members: Make sure every staff member has the card saved on their phone so they can share it anytime, anywhere.

  • Community partners: Send digital cards to referring doctors, teachers, local business owners, PTA leaders, local organizations, and event sponsors to keep your practice top-of-mind.

  • Patients: Share referral cards with happy patients so they can easily refer friends and family right from their phone. Each patient can have their own, or group patients under one "Happy Patient" referral source.

The Future of Referrals Is Digital

Paper isn’t going away entirely, but referrals don’t need to be tied to it anymore. With Digital Referral Cards, your practice is now more connected, more mobile, and more convenient—meeting people where they are and making it effortless to refer.
